FAQ

Ordering & Files

What file types do you accept?

We accept standard 3D printing file formats including STL, STEP, and OBJ. Files can be uploaded directly through our instant quote system for automated pricing and checkout.

How does the instant quote system work?

Simply upload your file, choose your material and settings, and receive an instant price based on material usage (grams) and machine time (hours). Once paid, your order moves straight into production.

Can you check my file before printing?

Yes. All files are automatically checked, and we also review orders to ensure they are suitable for printing. If there are any issues or improvements needed, we’ll contact you before production begins.

Materials

What materials do you offer?

We currently offer:

  • PLA

  • PLA-CF

  • PETG

  • ABS

  • ASA

  • TPU

  • PA6 (Nylon)

Each material has different strengths depending on your application. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to advise.

Which material should I choose?

  • PLA – Best for prototypes, visual parts, and general use

  • PETG – Stronger and more durable than PLA

  • ABS / ASA – Heat-resistant and tougher functional parts

  • TPU – Flexible components

  • PA6 (Nylon) – High-strength, engineering-grade applications

If you’re not sure, contact us and we’ll help select the right material.

Pricing & Production

How is pricing calculated?

Pricing is based on:

  • Material weight (price per gram)

  • Machine time (price per hour)

This ensures transparent and fair pricing for both one-off and repeat orders.

Do you offer batch discounts?

Yes. Batch discounts are applied when parts fill a full build plate.
Full build plate batches receive a 15% discount, making small-batch production more cost-effective.

Where are parts manufactured?

All parts are produced in-house in Ribchester, Preston (UK).
We do not outsource production.

What are your lead times?

Most orders are produced within 1–3 working days, depending on part complexity and material.
Orders are shipped using DPD Next Day once production is complete.

Shipping & Delivery

Do you ship across the UK?

Yes. We ship nationwide using tracked next-day delivery.

Can I collect my order?

Local collection may be possible by arrangement. Please contact us before placing your order.

Business & Manufacturing

Do you support repeat or production orders?

Yes. We work with businesses requiring repeatable, consistent batch production and long-term manufacturing partnerships.

Can you act as a manufacturing partner?

Yes. We support businesses looking for a UK-based manufacturing partner for ongoing 3D printed components, with consistent quality and clear pricing.

General

Are 3D printed parts strong enough for real use?

Yes. When the correct material and print settings are used, 3D printed parts can be suitable for functional, mechanical, and load-bearing applications.
